Examples of pest removal equipment on offer
You can remove pests through the following means...
Wasp bains: Ideal for clearing wasps from Gardens, Beer Gardens and outdoor events these traps will lure wasps with enclosed food before catching and killing the nuisance insects.
Wasp pots: These can ensnare wasps in a wide range of areas - including on patios and in places where food is common, like around BBQs and food storage areas.
Electronic flea lamps: Each of these lamps includes tub-contained glue to which fleas become stuck. The fleas are lured by the lamp's heat, which they confuse with the human body.
Bird Proofing (Spikes on Ledges): Once installed, these spikes of plastic or stainless steel can deter a range of large pest birds - including pigeons, gulls and crows - from landing on ledges.
Red top fly bags: Hang these in a sunny spot outside, as sunlight and warmth are needed for their non-poisonous protein lure responsible for bringing flies into the trap.
Rat and mouse traps: Rats and mice can make their unwanted presence felt in various ways, but you can lay traps to catch them and so prevent them spreading damage and disease.
Organic insect sprays: Using pesticide-free Oa2ki insect spray, you can kill crawling and flying insects indoors and outdoors. Insects removable in this way include ants, flies, moths and fleas.
Custom made fly screens: Fitted to your doors and windows, these screens - of roller, sliding or hinged form - can let fresh air enter the building while keeping flying insects out.
Did you know?
- The hornet – one of the most common types of wasp – can be hazardous near human habitation due to the insect’s sting, which is more dangerous than that of a bee.
- Fleas have often carried diseases, such as during the Great Plague of London in 1665.
- Flies belong to the Diptera order, which is estimated to have a million species, of which only roughly 125,000 have actually been described.
Why does my home or workplace have a wasp infestation?
The time of year can be one major factor. Though wasps can start emerging in small numbers during spring, they can become much more numerous and widespread once summer is here.
Wasps also commonly appear where there is food for them to forage. For this reason, wasps can become commonplace in areas where food is stored and processed.
How should I maintain a wasp pot?
As each wasp trap lures wasps due to a liquid bait, this bait should be regularly replaced as it is depleted. Otherwise, the trap will be hampered in its continued functionality. You ought to also regularly remove dead insects from the trap.
Can I use electric fly killers both indoors and outdoors?
No. Electric fly killers are only truly suited to indoor use. When placed outside, the long-wavelength ultraviolet light which they use to attract germ-laden flies could too easily lure other, non-problematic insects like moths.
How should I use an electronic flea lamp?
Place the lamp in a flea-infested room, turn on that lamp and then leave it overnight. Keep pets out of the room - as, otherwise, they will interfere with the lamp's functionality. Then, on the following morning, take away the lamp and the attached fleas.
